Anyone else having trouble with SOAP and Merchant Warehouse...?

Hi all, I have an issue that has been plaguing me for over a month now and I have had some progress but very little.  

 

I have the module for Merchant Warehouse installed and everything is configured properly however I have this error at the top of the page when I load the configuration page for the module.

 In order to use your module, please activate Soap (PHP extension)

 

Is anyone else having trouble with SOAP and Merchant Warehouse?  I should add that I have enabled SOAP in my php config file and have enabled all the dependencies I believe.  

 

My hosting provider has SOAP 0.91 beta installed.  This should work right?  The current version is 1.2. My hosting provider said it will take them a long time to upgrade because they have to make sure all of their customers will be ready for the upgrade.  

 

I have no way to upgrade the server and I am not trying to change hosting providers just for this one issue.  I have an exclusive deal with Merchant Warehouse I would like to preserve by making this module work however I have this issue. 

 

Please help me mods.
