How to get default combination attribute value in product list?

Hello,

 

I need to display default combination attribute value in product list next to the product price.

 

For example:
Product name: Dry food for dogs 
Price: 50$
Weight: [default combination attribute value]: 10 kg

 

 

I don't need fancy drop downs or checkboxes, just a clarification for the user how much pet food he will get for this price. Does any body knows how to get this value?

 

I'm using PS 1.5.6.1, standard theme.

Did you manage to get this working?

 

I've been looking for a while but nothing as simple as showing the default combination weight. I'm trying to avoid loops.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
