how to update overrided module

Recommended Posts

leobtslider is a totally different module, it's not related to default prestashop slider so.... i have no idea what you exactly want to update?

not completely different, its a "clone", same files but little different name and some modification.

same with blockleotopmenu and blocktopmenu..

i simply dont get WHY for a few graphic modification in front end those module has a different backoffice too

differencies in php core is ... huge, slider from leo contains a lot of new libraries, new functions in code so it's almost impossible to update it without HUGE modifications of the module :(

since i cannot really see what improvement has frontoffice side and backoffice neither, i will use PS default slideshow and menu.

the override of .tpl file is very easy:

i just have to copy the original .tpl file (PS_SITE/modules/blocktopmenu) in PS_SITE/themes/leoconv/modules/blocktopmenu

for the css...well i will use the global css of my template

i just hope the default modules will dont cause some js problem (in dropdown menus as example) in my theme..

ps: is that all correct?
