lighthouseweb
Well this is not a good first impression for the program I hope someone can help me out. I'm trying to install PrestaShop on my Cpanel Linux MVS.. I'm trying to test this out for a client this is what I have done. In Cpanel 1. Made a new Subdomain 2. Uploaded the prestashop_1.5.6.2.zip to the folder 3. Unpacked it in Cpanel File Manger 4. Go to http://prestashop.webiste.ca/prestashop/install (not my website just a sample) 5. get ForbiddenYou don't have permission to access /prestashop/install on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. 6. I have installed OsCommerce and Zencart the same way and no issues 7. I see that all my folder are set to 0700 for permission and files are 0644 8. Need some help.. Thanks New to this program - I hope it will work as my we need to to allow us to do English and French (as OsCommerce and Zencart it seems that the french language is 1 vesrion out of date and this might cause some issues that why i'm trying out your program) Thanks
El Patron
rather than unpack it using cpanel (which is not setting the folder permissions correctly) simply upload the unpacked ps version, and run install.
lighthouseweb
I tried that solution as going though every DIR and changing the folder permission would of cause me to snap.. just weird that this happened.. I uploaded Zencart and all of my folder perissions work just fine.. (just want to see if it was my server cuasing some issues) Thanks

El Patron
that was like shaving a pig, loads of squealing for very little wool...(this is my new fav saying, it's actually from President of Russia, Putin) in the future...my suggestion is to only use official release...or tell community you installed with 3rd party...so we can remind you not to...jajajaja
