jhonyleroy
Anyone able to answer this topci? I am in the same situation... want to move my site from domain A to domain B (no changes in the database). I believe one of the steps is to regenerate the htaccess file once the moved is done so I get the new friendly URLs.What else is needed? Thanks
rocky
You just need to edit config/settings.inc.php and update the database details and base URL, then regenerate your .htaccess file.
jhonyleroy
Thanks Rocky. Would you please be more specific? What exactly I need to edit in the config/settings.inc.psp and what database details and base url?Regards,Jhonyleroy
jhonyleroy
Just checked the config/settings and realize that needs to be changed if I moved from sub domain to domain right? This is not the case as I will move from parent domain to another parent domain (from http://sitenameA.com to http://sitenameB.com). Also, in the BO database, I don't need to change anything as my server/database remains the same.So I just need to change the htpaccess. right? Thanks! rocky
In that case, you don't need to do anything at all. It should just work. You only need to regenerate your .htaccess file if the subdirectory of PrestaShop changes. If it is in the root directory in the old and new domains, then no change is necessary.
