mvandijk
Hi, First off: I think I'm in the right forum section, since my question regards the general safety of my Prestashop? Second: Even after thoroughly searching the web and these forums I was not able to find an answer, my apologies if I have overlooked it. At the top of my list of modules it says there are several updates ready for some of my modules. Most of them were easy to update with the click of a button. Some others don't have this button. I found out that these modules aren't even enabled or installed? My question is: Do I have to update these modules or can I just leave them be? Or should I just remove them, since it looks like I am not even using them? Will not updates cause a threat to the security of the webshop? Thanks a lot in advance for your reaction. All the best / Vriendelijke groet, mvandijk
Dh42
You can generally leave them be. The only ones I would be vigilant in updating are payment modules. The other modules can have things as simple as typos being fixed as the reason for an update.
mvandijk
Thanks a lot! I've updated the PayPal module (even though I am currently not using is) and I'll update the rest if I decide to start using them!
