Enoteca
It might have been discussed before (thought I haven't found it) but I'm having this issue with the very latest PS version I installed yesterday. Somehow, the product details view is gone for good. I have deleted the default products from the BO (I haven't touched the database) and inserted some new products. Now I click on a product from the homepage and it goes to a blank page with not an error message displayed. Need real help!!!
CartExpert.net
Hi. Do you have error reporting turned on? Regards.Robin.The CartExpert Team
Enoteca
Ok, I turned it on and got this error message: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 25961 bytes) in /.../shop/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_parsetree.php on line
CartExpert.net
Are you using a custom template or not native modules? Regards.Robin.The CartExpert Team
Enoteca
I'm using the default template, and I have only installed a "delete orders" module which acts on the BO and not on the products. All this is very strange.
CartExpert.net
You could try increasing the memory limit of PHP (by default it's 8Mb). Regards.Robin.The CartExpert Team
Enoteca
I haven't tried increasing the memory size asking to my ISP, but I believe it will not take me anywhere because the shop is actually empty. It has 5 products with only a name and no description whatsoever, I'm only doing css modifications, so I believe it's a major issue/bug.
CartExpert.net
Does the error appear even after refresh? What is currently your memory limit? Regards.Robin.The CartExpert Team
Enoteca
I'm confirming you that on page reload the error persists. My PHP memory limit is set to 32M. CartExpert.net
The problem seems to be with the tpl file as the error message is thrown for different smarty scripts: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1024 bytes) in /home/mondodel/public_html/shop/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatelexer.php on line 460Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 76807 bytes) in /home/mondodel/public_html/shop/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php on line 226 Would you attach your product.tpl and ProductController.php files? Regards.Robin.The CartExpert Team
Enoteca
I seem not to have ProductController. I seem not to be allowed to upload product.tpl so I changed the extension into php By the way, if you can tell me how to get rid of product's characteristics that are not useful for my shop (like ipods colours, disck space, etc.) product.php Edited February 10, 2014 by Enoteca (see edit history)
CartExpert.net
You need to delete the attributes. Regards.Robin.The CartExpert Team
Enoteca
I have deleted the attributes but they are still showing up in the configuration of blocklayered module, even after uninstalling and installing again. how can I get rid of them? Please don't abandon me on the other major issue, i.e. products details not showing up. Thank you Edited February 10, 2014 by Enoteca (see edit history)
Enoteca
Could you please tell me at least what files or modules should I upload again in order to make it work?
CartExpert.net
Without having a possibility to actually play around with the files to see why is the memory exceeded, the only solution I can give is to increase it the memory limit. Enoteca
I have solved by asking my ISP to incirease PHP memory limit. Now it works, but this makes me wonder: if 32M was not enought for a few bogey products with not even an image attached, will 128M be enough when the shop will have hundreds of real products?
