mightygood
I'm new to prestashop. I installed it today. In the modules section, there is module called "shop importer" Can I use that to import my old zencart?
Dh42
I am pretty sure that it only works with Os Commerce. Presto-changeo has a module for importing from zen cart though.
mightygood
Actually there is also a module for specifically importing Os Commerce. So what is the module "shop importer" used for?
Dh42
It is a used as an interface for the os commerce module.
mightygood
Ok so prestashop comes with 2 models for migration tools. 01. shop importer 02. Importer osCommerce And they both are used as an interface for osCommerce.
prestashopninja
Hi, Shop importer is thought as a common platform/interface for importer modules. If you install shop importer only, you will see it can't do anything by itself. Then, if you also install OSC importer and go back to Shop Importer's interface, you will see a dropdown with the option to import from OSC. In short, you need a separate module to import from ZenCart and Presto-changeo has one.
