gmicale
I want to tell you my experience so you do not pass the same to any of you.Looking for a prestashop module to calculate the shipping costs according to distance, I found a post in which the module offered jeevanoss I was looking for. See the post here and the module hereI paid the module but the download link does not work.I claimed through the contact form on his website. There was no response. He claimed it to PayPal, but jeevanoss didn't answer to PayPal. PayPal does not guarantee payment of non phisical goods.I wrote a private message to jeevanoss in this forum. There was no response. This user comes daily to the forum, be careful with him, he does not play fair.Greetings to all but jeevanoss.
NemoPS
Jeevanoss has been causing issues to some of my clients as well in the past year. So it seems you are not alone
gmicale
Thanks for your answer. It would be good this topic was popular and everyone knew how this person is to prevent further stealing.I take this opportunity to invite jeevanoss to give his version of events. indus
You should give him some time to respond here i think. How long ago did you place this order ? Its also surprising that some of the posters above are quick to respond with 'thanks' and similar comments without knowing what the facts of the matter are. At this stage, the module developer surely deserves the benefit of the doubt considering he has contributed more here than the person creating the thread. gmicale
I understand the doubt, I can not say anything other than my experience. The purchase was on December 31, 2013 and before saying anything on this forum I've tried everything. Now, I need to say jeevanos replied me 2 hours ago. Said that he tried to send the files to the email with which I am registered on his website but this email was wrong.First, the email is fine, it received there confirmation of the purchase. Secondly, in my private message I had not told him what my email is.Anyway, he did not respond the message I left him on his own website, end did not answer to paypal. He only answared after this post. If this person finally gives me the module that I bought, or back the money, I will return to this post to tell. indus
I suggest getting a refund in this case, if the module was actively supported you would have already been able to download it by now. Its an instant purchase since its a virtual product. More than a month without communication is surely no good. Looks like the developer has abandoned support for the module, does it even work for 1.5? I see from the thread that it was created in 2011 for version 1.4. Hope you are able to get your refund promptly. 100 dollars is a good amount of money. Or test the product and later decide if its working well for you or not. That is your decision to make i guess. gmicale
OK, after write him and wait so much time. It is confirmed, he is not going to reply anymore. He has my mony but I have not the module. Please be carefull with him!
El Patron
my suggestion is not to buy or download a free module unless there is: 1. a related prestashop forum post that is active and responded to by developer 2. a non-prestashop hosted forum that is active and responded to by developer also most claims using paypal for established virtual goods seller is very difficult. in the future use a major credit card, these are much easier for one to dispute a purchase and win. hopefully this will save your some grief in the future
NemoPS
Correct, I second El Patron. Make sure you only buy from trusted sources. If unsure, contact the developer first
