Import a category tree (also subcategories) via CSV

I can't import tree categories via CSV file.

 

What will be the contents of a CSV file for this tree?

Fiat
- Filters
-- Oil
-- Air
- Drivetrain
-- Clutch
-- Gearbox
Audi
- Filters
-- Oil
-- Air
- Drivetrain
-- Clutch
-- Gearbox
Mercedes-Benz
- Filters
-- Oil

Some subcategories have the same name as others subcategories.

I don't believe you can give exactly the same name to subcategories.  You might be able to do so if you assign them different numbers, but I'm not sure.  

 

The way you create the category-subcategory structure is through a column in your csv  spreadsheet: 'parent.'  Make a small csv with a handful of your categories and subcategories to see how it goes first.  You can look around the forum for examples.  If you can't get it to work after looking at other examples and trying to upload a few lines of your own little trial, I can send an example of mine.  

 

By the way, if you don't want to assign numbers to your categories, prestashop can automatically do that.  (In that case you definitely need to use different names for subcategories).
