ialonso
Hi there, I have an problem with my website: masquevapor.com When I switch from spanish to english with the selector of languages of the blocklanguages, part of the top of the page dissapear, hidding the permanetlinks block, languages block, turning impossible switch again to spanish language. Actually i have modified the css adding an "top-margin:18px", to solve temporarily this issue, but anyway the position of the webpage continue changing when the language is switched (but at least my customers can continue accessing permanentlinks block, and languages block). Have anyone an idea about what's happening? I'm sure that the trouble is not coming from the css, because both languages are using the same css Thanks a lot! ialonso
have you changed some files manually ? especially translation files? I'm not sure, but I've removed completely the language module (deinstalled, and removed all folders from ftp (\modules , \themes\current_teme\modules, \themes\current_theme\css\modules), loosing all translations...), and reinstalled again, at least two times. Thanks for your reply!
ialonso
Hi I've noticed that the shared buttons bar of the left side, is affected too by this problem. The shares counter, on spanish language is tighter than the shares counter of the web in english. could be this relevant? Thanks!
vekia
problem is probably related to modification of the translation files if you for example edited somewhere es.php file you probably saved it as a UTF-8 with BOM, it's wrong and in most cases causing problems like this one. ialonso
Thanks for the response vekia. You are speaking about translations files in general (from any module), no about translations files from languges block true? Because languages block has been deleted a couple of times with no results. I very difficult to detect from which module is coming the problem?
