bellini13
yes it is possible, your host just has to install and support nginx, you should contact them and ask

indus
I hear nginx does not support .htaccess . Or is that not true?

the.rampage.rado
If you use nginx as server it doesn't support .htacces (correct me if I'm wrong) But when you use it as reverse proxy over Apache everything is OK with .htaccess Yesterday I finally managed to set up test account on this hosting company and I can say it's very good. They use nginx+varnish+zend optimizer and for now testing my store it's probably 20-30% faster for customers eyes (rendering the page, loading images, external modules like yotpo, fb slider, etc) even without CloudFlare's service (it messed up and I don't know what's wrong). Just had to fix the paths (old server - addon domain, 2 level deep, new server - root) and delete cache, .htaccess and class_index.php) So definetly Nginx+varnish+zend optimizer, apache 5.3 is OK for Presta. You can find them here - https://coolicehost.com/ definetly faster than most providers. They're hosted in Netherlands. Edited February 6, 2014 by the.rampage.rado (see edit history)

Love Netherlands - these guys allways worth of money they ask - whatever they do) By the way justhost has refused to install nginx on shared hosting account. It is possible, but only with VPS or Dedicated. Damn
hostingguy
These guys have nginx in a reverse proxy with varnish cache as a standard set up for PrestaShop. They throw in SSL and a dedicated IP too. http://www.unixguru.co.uk/application-hosting/prestashop-hosting/ Edited October 2, 2014 by hostingguy (see edit history)
