tomlar1977
Hi there! I have a "little" issue using PrestaShop, ie. we sell businesscards and other printed matters. There is a startup cost of 12€ for one of these orders, and a unit price of lets say 0,025 Eurocent, so 100 businesscards cost 14,5€, 200 cost 17€, 400 cost 22€ and so on. This could be done using combination generator, but this is just one of many products. Ie. we have magazines, where all combinations of paper, colors and pages end up in +500 combinations...! So, a fixed startup would help a lot - anyone stumbled upon something useful on this? Kind regards, Tommy
stottycabanas
Hi Tommy, that's just a reflection of your business model. If you have a large number of combinations of options that your customers can choose, you will need a large number of combinations in Prestashop. tomlar1977
Hi Dave! Thanks for your reply I am aware that it takes a lot of combinations to have various items, but the startup cost of an item would be really useful to anybody selling items that have some startup cost related - I would be able to cut away 20% of my combinations, which also makes it easier to maintain prices etc. Kind regards, Tommy
stottycabanas
Tommy, you could have a product called e.g. 'Business cards' with a base (startup) price of €12.00 and set up an attribute of 'pack size' with attribute values of 100, 200, etc. Then you set up product combinations where the pack size of 100 adds €2.50 to the price, 200 adds €5.00 and so on. The customer would order quantities of the chosen pack size rather than quantities of individual business cards. The same principle would apply for your other products.
