Order email notification not sending

Hello All,

 

I am using Prestashop 1.5.6 . I am facing a problem with email notification is not sending. I am configured the parameters in Administration -> Preferences -> Notifications and installed and configured the module mail alerts. I done this things but still I not getting any email notification when a order is placed.

Is it any thing more to do to get email notification ? 

 

Please help me to solve this issue..

what kind of mailing method you use? simple mail() function or SMTP ?

I seleceted  PHP mail() function in Advanced parameters - > E-mail.

I also like to inform that I am using SSL/https server...is it any special configuration for these servers...

ok, so make sure that your shop domain is exactly the same as email you use as a shop email address.

if they are different, you can encounter SPF issues (sender policy framework  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sender_Policy_Framework )

Is it any options with SMTP ?, can you help me to set the SMTP parameters..

in this case, you have to ask your hoster about SMTP credentials for your mail service.

ask them about: smtp server addres, port, username

Now i use the email address exactly same as my domain name with simple mail() function .unfortunately still it is not working......Please help me to solve this issue...
