slappedsilly
Scenario while testing PS. As a guest I ordered and checked out. I was redirected to my Paypal sandbox where my address was picked up and pushed back to my customer DB. Everything worked, as I expected. Customer is now added to my DB via Paypal details. The problem. When I set my carrier to -customer group only- no carrier is available on further test orders. However, when I set carrier back to allow visitor group, the carrier is now available. Somehow my genuine "customer" is a visitor as far as carrier availability is concerned. Any clues here?
NemoPS
Did you create the customer group manually? Or are you referring to the original 'customer' customer group?
slappedsilly
I am referring to the default (i.e. original) "customer" group. I'm doing more dev work today so will see if same error applies to non Paypal Express entered customers. It's possible the Paypal module not seeding the customer.db properly on return and it's probably limited to sandbox returns.
NemoPS
Actually, if your customers check out with paypal, and add their info via the express checkout, they will be treated as visitors/guests, not as registered customers I missed that point before, sorry
