password confirmation in cart/checkout

i have modified  authentication.tpl in my theme folder, and password confirmation field is there and working when user hits 'create account' (Authentication >Create your account) but if user tries to create account in shopping cart the confirm password field is not there, and when attempting to create account without the field, it gives error:There is 1 Error(s):

1. Password confirmation does not match password !

 

 

so where/how do i modify the template and add the field?
