[Solved] Problem with cache memory of names in the backend

Recommended Posts

When I change the names of products in the backend, the names do not change when they are seen in the products list. The changes are displayed in the frontend and when I enter each product's edit window.

The same is with category names, old names are displayed in the categories list. When I enter the edit window and in the frontend, the current name is seen. When I edit products, in the associations section, the old names of categories are seen, not the current ones.

I tried emptying cache memory and similar but it did not work. How to solve this and have up-to-date names of products and categories in their lists in the backend? This issue is present since I installed PrestaShop for over a year now.

My current PrestaShop version is 1.5.6.1

Hi,

Do you use different languages for backend and frontend?

For example, if you use english backend but only french frontend, when you edit a category or product maybe you are only editing the french language.

As a result, your frontend displays the modifications correctly but your backend still displays the english language you didn't modify.

Exactly, I'm using a non-English language in the frontend and English language in the backend.

Yes, that is the solution, names in English language need to be edited as well and I did not do that.

What is confusing a little bit is when a new product or category is given a name, that name is applied automatically across all languages in the backend but when those names are edited the change is not applied automatically across all languages in the backend.

Thank you for solving the issue.
