tdc666
a client wants a "dealer" group added to his shop with lower rates for the customers who are put into that group. this is no big deal, but i've ran into a little problem; it would appear that in order for the customers in the new group to have access to the products, i have to go into each and every product category and add "dealer" to the "group access" list. is there a quicker way to give a new group access to all categories rather than going into each and every one to hit the check mark? because if i have to go at it that way, it's going to take days to get this done. thanks for any help. Hi, Did you find a solution? I suspect you have to change it in the database but I'm not sure where. This must be a problem for a lot of people? Has no one found a work around? Thanks, B

And remember this hopefully is a business that makes you money so sometimes for some nitty gritty stuff you may need to pay for work you are not comfortable with and that is not part of native PrestaShop, we assume you client is paying you yes? I can say this because I do not do private work, for anyone. I can give you some help pointer: add to your category_group table the id_category and id_group (new group id) for each category you want this new group to have access to.
