Problem with changing to new theme

Recommended Posts

I have the same problem, i see only text without any design. Css doesn't work, neither javascript, cause jcarousel modul isn't running as it should.

I installed the final version, but my theme was created in a previous version. Is that a problem?

What is wrong?

P.S. -> but the default theme is ok.

Tnx,
Housy

Still not working. I have tried changing to version 1.1 themes, but still nothing.

I don't see anything, not even text is showing. Only a white screen in I.Explorer....
I've tried to contact the designer (Seller) but still no replies from him.

Does anyone have any tips?

An update!

I found this readme-file for this theme, but no progress yet...

README.TXT
-----------------------------
HOW TO UPLOAD THEME
-----------------------------
1. Upload folders in a correct directory.
2. Active theme from back office.
3. Change your picture size (there is picture that will help you to do "Back Office-Preferences-Image.jpg")
4. Activate jcarousel module from your back office.
5. That is all.
-----------------------------

So now, I have activated the jcarousel module. But still no shop - only blank screen...
Regarding No "3" in readme.txt:
How do change picture size?

Yes, I have all the permissions mentioned in the install instructions for prestashop.

I guess that some important files are missing from the "Theme Installation Files"... but I can't get in touch with the author (seller) of this theme.

Please, any help??

Hi I am author of SimpleClean theme. I send you PM. You said that "it is blank white", did you add any products? If not it is normal blank white.

  • 4 weeks later...

actually i found a way to solve this problem about few weeks ago,
me also installing the same theme as yours,
as i found, we need to delete a line in "header.tpl" file. After deleting the line, all the thing solved.

open a header file in your theme folder and delete this line
<base href="{$protocol}{$smarty.server.HTTP_HOST|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}{$base_dir}" />

this should able to solve
