kgolding
Hello, We would like to allow customers to have saved carts, that can each optionally be made the active cart. I've searched for such an addon but have not been able to find one. Do you know of an addon/means to do this please? Best regards, Kevin
El Patron
PrestaShop 'native' allows you to re-display cart when a visitor returns. I don't know if this will help but wanted to point it out.... http://screencast.com/t/TuCmjnAVST
kgolding
Thank El, this is good but sadly I need my customers to have a few different carts that they can load up when required.
El Patron
uhm...do they need to do repetitive orders, this is why they need selective cart? If so this can be done by customer if they visit 'orders' and select 're-order'. If this does not help then if you could elaborate the usage scenario a little better that would be helpful.
kgolding
Hi El, The use case is that we (the shop owner) wants to select an number of products and present them to a given customer as a option to purchase (almost a like quote!). My idea was to have these ready made 'carts' for the user to select from. Each cart/quote we make is custom to the user account, so I can't use product packs (which was my first thought). El Patron
ave maria pues... I don't know of anything 'like' that via search but there could be something. have you looked at packs? Please note I am trying to find a way to help 'without' changing the native prestashop. http://screencast.com/t/ikYB0Zh2
kgolding
Packs are so very close, except each quote is unique to each user. I'm not adverse to adding modules, or creating a module if needs be. But, if I can do it native style I'd be even happier Many thanks, Kevin
El Patron
I think you should play with packs a little more especially as it concerns 'customer groups', i.e. visibility that sort of thing. Get it where it is mostly working for you...then if there are little minor things (there are already quote modules)...then you will know more exactly what if any changes you will require. Uh, writing modules...is not for the faint of heart....I will write it for 1,000,000 euros, I know that sounds like alot but then I only need to sell one of them...jajajaja
