Multishop - different countries, different prices, same language

Hi, I'm using PS v 1.5.4.1. The situation is: I want to expand my shop to new countries. All countries have the same language, but each country has his curreny. There are all the same items but different prices.

I though to use 'multishop'. The problem is, to give each shop a URL. My idea is one URL for each country as myshop.com/us, myshop.com/gb and so on. Is it possible and how can i do it?

if you use more than one(1) gTLD (.com/.co/.net/etc) then you 'will' be penalized for duplicate content.

 

it would be best using multiship to 1) obtain new url's for each country (.fe/.de/.uk/etc) these are called ccTLD's.

 

this will allow you to geo target by country (because of the way ccTLD's work)  without the penalty.

 

of course then you can set each of these shops currency and languages and needed.

because you may want to share the products across multiple url's (shops), you may consider using specific price 'by country' for your by country pricing.

 

you can simply enable back office-->preferences-->geo location

 

After you have done  this  back office-->localization-->countries  (edit a country and set their default currency)
