[solved]v1.7.4 klarna module is missing backward_compatibility/backward.php?

Hi,

 

I'm using Prestashop 1.5.6.1

 

I tried to install Klarna module in my backoffice but get this error:

 

[PrestaShop] Fatal error in module klarnaprestashop:

require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/storage/content/43/107843/my-domain.com/public_html/modules/klarnaprestashop/backward_compatibility/backward.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib64/php')

 

So i downloaded the module from prestashop add-ons and manually uploaded the dir through ftp access and i'm still getting the same error.

 

The map backward_compatibility is not in the klarnaprestashop dir.

 

Is it really missing or is it some kind of a bug?

Solved it by creating the missing dir and put the files there from this:

I don't understand how this can resolve the issue - isn't the backwards compability module for new modules on old prestashop-versions, and not NEW prestashopinstalls on OLD modules?

 

Why can't the Klarna module just work  - after all it's written and made available from the Prestashop team.

This means that Klarna themselves doesn't provide this module.

 

And it's so hard to get the Prestashop team in speach, and tell them to fix it.

 

The result is that I'm checking for other shopping-cart solutions - the payment modules MUST WORK OUT OF THE BOX!

Ecommerce is -NOTHING- without correctly working payment options.. there should be NO bugs in those.

Hopefully someone at prestashop will see this message - or if you know where I can contact the prestashop team directly with this message, please advice me!

Just as you say, so shall backwards compatibility enable new modules work on old ps versions. 

 

I have used Klarna about 2,5 years with Prestashop and the module has worked good in some versions and not so good in others. 

 

Why just this solved the problem, I have no good answer, maybe old coding in the klarna module since it was build around 1.4 versions.
