Young Squire
Hi, I'm a new user using PrestaShop. I've heard some good things about this and have chosen to use this to build my site. Couple of questions: 1) How long does it take to learn this builder? 2) Where can you get different themes to choose to construct your site? 3) Overall what are your thoughts building an e-commerce site with this and do you have any tips? Appreciate any advice.
El Patron
Hi, I'm a new user using PrestaShop. I've heard some good things about this and have chosen to use this to build my site. Couple of questions: 1) How long does it take to learn this builder? Out of the box including sample data it's pretty inuitive with relevant help button by back office page. 2) Where can you get different themes to choose to construct your site? From the offical addon-s, theme forest, and ma ny 3rd party developers. Stay with the built in default theme and learn to build your categories/products etc...then (and only then) look for a quality theme that has robust forum support just for that theme. 3) Overall what are your thoughts building an e-commerce site with this and do you have any tips? I like it because it's the bomb for multi country shops...the multi language, currency with multishop. Appreciate any advice. Tips about future forum posting. 1. search for ps particulars using major search engine "prestashop (your question)". You may not find the exact answer but by looking at results will help you ask your question 'better'. The better the question (detail) the faster the community can help. 2. Get involved by helping others from your experiences. 3. If someone helps you, hit the like button. welcome aboard
mubeen.xjr
Welcome to the forum. Prestashop is a very easy platform to get used to. Simply put it on your ftp, install, and away you go. Templates are freely available online but if you wish for something high class, then templatemonstor or prestashops own store would have a great selection. In all honesty its the platform I favour alot because its very simple to use and theres plenty of support, however, there are segments i highly dislike of Prestashop and most releases tend to be released with bugs that can be infuiriating. I would also advise regular back ups because at times (like me) you may suffer a white screen of death due to some module or SQL hiccup that totally screws up everything for you. If budget is not an issue, check out Prestashop Manager. Its great for bulk uploading and quick modifications. Regards
