HavanA
For the last week I have been trying to find out why the URL is different in several Prestashops; In my case it is: www.mydomain.com/home/325-productname.html (all my products are in the home category with id=2 and they are in several subcategories) Now I also see Prestashops that have it like this: www.mydomain.com/325-productname.html Now I found a useful module to eliminate the number, but then still I have "home" in my URL How do I remove "home" from the URL? HavanA
I saw the same description in the help file. The point is, I see no "default category" I only have root and home with subcategories. Does anybody know what I should do now?
HavanA
If I uncheck "home", then of course I can not set "home" as default category anymore. I then sets the product to one of the many subcategories, making the url www.mydomain.com/category/538-productname.html where I want only www.mydomain.com/538-productname.html. So I only want to remove "home" and not add the name of the category in the url.My guess is that all products should be in root and root should be selected as default category, but it is not possible to do this it seems.Any help is much appreciated. HavanA
This seems to solve it: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/287223-removing-category-name-product-id-and-eanupc-from-friendtly-urls/ I removed {category} in the "path to products" in "SEO&URL's" in the admin.
