PrestaShop Product Image in URL, is missing its ID.

Recommended Posts

I migrated a copy of my PrestaShop store onto a testing domain that resides on the same server, and it resulted with some images missing.

Troubleshooting the issue, I noticed that product images in the URL are missing its product ID.

For example,

this URL displays image: /100000-2162-home/image-name.jpg
this URL does not display image: /2162-home/image-name.jpg

Roughly 50% of product images are not displaying in both FO & BO due to the missing product IDs within the URLs.

Here are a couple of troubleshooting steps I performed to no prevail.

1.) Regenerated products with each level of format (home, large, medium, small, thickbox).

2.) Under the product preferences tab, I set "Activate legacy images compatibility" to NO, and regenerated thumbnails.  I then reverted "Activate legacy images compatibility" back to YES, & regenerate thumbnails again.

Any suggestions?

PrestaShop v.1.4.4.1

I set Legacy File system to NO and when I attempt to 'move images' I receive "Error: some or all images could not be moved."

More troubleshooting and I'm finding out that certain images are not able to be located within the /img/p/ at all.

I've looked in both the live & testing domains under the /img/p/ to confirm product image(s) were transferred or exist and only some can be located.

I'e searched in the subdirectories /img/p/1/3/ as well to no prevail.

Very strange how the live site displays the product images, but when you search for them on the server in directory /img/p/ they don't exist.

Is there somewhere else they may be stored?

Another commonality,

The products that have four digits in product ID where inputed with PrestaShop v 1.3.9

These images are not visible or found in its directory /img/p/

The products that have six digits in product ID where inputed with PprestaShop v1.4.4.1

These images display and are located within /img/p/ directory.

Ok., I've performed what you requested; I retraced my actions and regenerated error.. I however don't see any error log?

Tools > Log

is empty

I don't see any error in the header section either.

Could you please advise?

Thanks!
