Need help with checkout

I am using the default template for PS version 1.5.6.1. This comes with a checkout procedure that I do not like and would like to eliminate most of it.

 

1. Customers check up using PayPal, so there is no reason to gather all of the information requested. As a matter of fact, if they are new to PayPal, they will have to enter all of the information twice: once for me and once for PayPal. This creates a customer burden that I would like to avoid.

 

2. I ship using only one carrier. The customer has no choices.

 

3. I would prefer that when the customer accesses their shopping cart, the only thing that they see is the invoice with the items that they ordered with shipping charge and a button to check out with PayPal.

 

Can someone tell me how to modify the checkout process for the default template?
