wilsonj
Hi, I'm using PS 1.5.6.1 and wish to change "wire" to "transfer" to suit Australia. What I have been finding though is that the word "wire" pops up everywhere from the order confirmation to the new order email I receive when an order is placed. It would be really nice to have a module called "bank transfer" that does all this. Oh and the ability to add "foreign bank charge" fee would be nice too. Surely other countries use the term transfer, and not wire ? Regards Jamie Edited January 9, 2014 by wilsonj (see edit history)
Sharak
Well, that's just the translation issue. Just go to Localization -> Translations in your admin panel and change any bank wire related texts to suit your needs. Search in Front Office translations, Back Office translations, Installed modules translations and Email templates translations. Remember to select right theme each time. stottycabanas
Hi Jamie, it's bank transfer in the UK too. I went through this exercise a little while back (for 1.5.4.1) and identified a number of places where the normal translation didn't cover it. If you PM me your email address, I'll send you a spreadsheet with the changes I found - hopefully they are relevant to the 1.5.6.1 bankwire module too, although your will be a later version (0.6). Cheers, Dave
wilsonj
Thanks Sharak, I have done that, but as stated the term "wire" still pops up in other documents and places on the store. stottycabanas, PM sent, thanks!

wilsonj
Thanks Dave, looks like I had missed a few! Sharak, Thanks for the offer. "wire" appears in numerous locations, but I can't think of all of them off the top of my head but it is certainly more than just the translations>email templates. One that comes to mind is the payment confirmation screen on the site. For example, wire needs to be changed in the following locations. modules/bankwire/config.xml modules/bankwire/en.php modules/bankwire/views/templates/front/payment_execution.tpl modules/bankwire/views/templates/hook/payment.tpl modules/bankwire/views/templates/hook/payment_return.tpl And there could be others, but that is a start. wilsonj
I think all of them can translated through presta admin Really ? Sharak
Really ? I searched for the word "wire" in all docs and changed them appropriately. But it didn't change the ones listed above. I guess you changed the wrong ones But that's what translation feature in admin is for... modules/bankwire/config.xml - Translations: Installed modules translations -> default - bankwire. First 2 positions represent basic module information. It's visible i.e. on modules list. modules/bankwire/en.php - this is just a default translation pack, though nowadays it's located in modules/bankwire/translations/en.php. Just go to Translations page, choose Installed modules translations and hit Save. File will be generated in /themes/your_theme/modules/bankwire/translations/en.php modules/bankwire/views/templates/front/payment_execution.tpl - Translations: Installed modules translations -> default - payment_execution modules/bankwire/views/templates/hook/payment.tpl - Translations: Installed modules translations -> default - payment modules/bankwire/views/templates/hook/payment_return.tpl - Translations: Installed modules translations -> default - payment_return Just to be clear, when I write "Translations: Installed modules translations -> default - bankwire" it's if default is name of your theme so this part is different in other themes. sipus
Can you please help me? I don't understand how to change the wording "bank wire" to bank deposit. I've read your responses but I'm still stuck. Please can you give me step by step instructions?
stottycabanas
Hi Naomi, you should be able to change bank wire to bank deposit where needed by going to Localization->Translations in back office. Go to each section in the first dropdown, search for every occurrence of 'wire' and then change the text if required. Cheers, Dave
Faten Rafie
Hi, I too am having the same problem with the bank wire module as I would like to change it to Bank Deposit / Transfer. Can someone guide me on how to do it? Perhaps some screenhots would be wonderful. Thanks in advance, Faten
