Clone a shop? Todos?

Hey guys,

 

I want to create a clone on my own shop under a different url and would like to know what the todos for this would be, as I did several things already, but it doesnt seem to work, as I just get a white page when opening the shop.

 

What I did:

 

1) Copied all files to other dir

2) Edited the database (user,db,password) in (settings.inc.php)

3) Edited shopurl in new database

4) renamed all entries in .htaccess

 

Something missing as its not working for now?

Did you add a slash at the end of the ps_shop_url tables that you changed?

 

 

If so, then it may be your htaccess. Turn on error reporting to see if you get any hits with the blank page.

if adding a slash behind shop-url and ssl-shop-url - firefox reports:

 

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

 

I even cant open the admin-interface currently Where can turn on the error reporting ?

Figured it out .... the smarty cache dir had wrong CHMOD settings

Awesome. Quick question, in your ps_shop_url table. do your URL's have a slash at the end so it would look like mysite.com/

No, they dont.
