technolo
Hi There, I am new to the Prestashop Forum and I am unsure of whether or not this is the best place to post or ask questions with regards Prestashop issues... When uploading a new product image within the admin section the image is displaying in a landscape view opposed to a portrait view. I have spent hours checking settings and looking online for a resolve to this issue but have been unsuccessful... Is there anyone that would be kind enough to offer some advise or assistance? Many thanks in advance.

technolo
Hi Vekia, I have managed to find the issue. It was not a problem with Prestashop at all, it was the customer images. They opened in the image viewer in portrait orientation but when uploaded through prestashop they rotated 90 degrees and displayed on the site in landscape orientation. When opened in MS paint to edit they opened in Landscape by default, by simply changing the orientation and saving resolved the issue. My thoughts are that the problem was with the EXIF information for the files. Many thanks for offering assistance though, much appreciated. mozarel
I have the same issue but i thought that prestashop manage photo orientation. I explain : I took a photo in portrait mode, the camera detect it and store the information in the exif attribute 'orientation'. When I look it on an old os (win7), the explorer/Paint display it in landscape (the subject is 90° rotated), but if I look it on an recent os (win8, explorer/paint/xnview), it does automatically the rotation because it read the exif format. I think that the upload on ebay or facebook, the photo is automatically rotate. Does Prestashop do it ? Settings to be modify ? (working on prestashop 1.5.4.1)
