Hide cart image on the home page

Can somebody tell me how to , take off / hide  the  "Cart(empty)" image from the default theme ?

I want to hide the cart when empty too. (PS 1.6.x)

 

I found out that if i replace this

{if $cart_qties >= 0}    
     

with

{if $cart_qties > 0}    

on blockuserinfo.tpl the cart will hide, but then when i add a product, page is not refreshing (ajax?) so the cart does not show as with 1 item i just added :???
 

 

any clues?

hello

in prestashop 1.6 default theme uses block cart file instead of blockuserinfo

and modify file located in theme directory

Well dont know what to say, im assuming the "IF" changes i need should be applied on that block since it does have some effect...

 

Im not using default theme, btw.
