CSV issue

Hi Guys

 

i have a bit of an issue with CSV

 

i have the images on my site www.mcfurrys.com/vitalpets and the item decriptions also in .txt files

 

when uploading the csv i use the full url for the image and it works fine however if i put the url of the .txt file for the description it does not pull the data from that file it only displays the url as the description,

 

any way to get the csv upload to pull the data from the files ?

 

any help would be great

I have tried to import the information from the txt files directly through excel but that does not work

I have never heard of an option to import .txt files into excel. How does this work? Why don't you put the information in excel directly instead into a .txt file.

in the data tab of excel you have the option to import data from nearly any location, local drive web ect

 

the data i got from the supplier was in .txt files for each product that why i am having some issues

To answer your original question, no there is no way to use a URL for description in the CSV which would pull the description from another file. If this is something that is very important to you I can help you with doing this on a one-time basis or every day.
