maryluke
I had the site up on a subdomain (shop), and it was working fine. I had more than 100 products in the site and was configuring the tools and preferences in the admin side. When I put /shop.URL/ , the admin page took the change and the site disappeared! Now all i get is text on the site, no images! Now I cannot login, page resets. New password email says this:You can now order on our Website: http://shop.URL/URL/shop/

littledove22
I cannot find the correct htaccess file for a shop in a subdomain in your forums. There are so many in so many languages, I don't know which to use. My shop is gone, please help.
msk69
do you use v. 1.2.? if so, use the htaccess manager in the admin.otherwise for the 1.1 the file is in the dl package.
littledove22
I am using the latest version, 1.2. I have a different error now. The homepage shows up with a cute red triangle ("Page not available")where the custom homepage should be, and the url ends in //install.php.Since I never knew the location of the homepage custom module, I cannot fix the error. I did find in the config files that this comes up by default when it cannot find something, but does not help.I will have to find the latest backup and redo yesterdays work and try not to hit any more errors.Frustrating that there is no Rollback or Undo for work in the interface. I would have been done weeks ago! Please build "Rollback" (TikiWiki does this) into the next version! No help here in the forums either. You should translate your posts to the browser language. Searching through forums is hard enough without a language barrier!
msk69
did you use the htaccess manager? or try without seo url rewriting! A rollback would be a nice feature, the thing i always do is creating a second shop within the domain and copy the database. Then i upgrade the copy, if there remain errors, i can work on it. Once everything works smooth, i do the main shop, and know what to do by then. If that fails i have the copied shop ready for replacement.
littledove22
I did use the htaccess mgr successfully last night. I will have to do it again today after backup. I am not using url rewrite, I never got it to work.Creating two shops sounds like double work to me. I prefer to use backups for error repair. I have no idea how to find them or fix them anyway. The installation docs say something about creating a second shop on your computer. I cannot figure out how this would save time or work. Still need to rollback to the last backup to fix it anyway. Just sounds redundant to have to work on two shops instead of one.UPDATE:The site is up, the backend is running, but the homepage has error triangle: "PAGE NOT AVAILABLE - We're sorry, but the Web address you entered is no longer available", right on top of the homepage where the custom text should be. Everything else works, I hate to start over when I'm so far along. Please tell me how to reconnect the module homepage, thank you.
