gray
I know its been asked many times, and I have been through all the answers with no success. It used to be pretty quick. But now my site takes over 60 secs to load www.gb-online.co.uk/prestashop On a good day it can take 30secs. Or any other ideas please. Might sound a stupid question, but how do I turn off cache ?? and where. (My apols ver is 1.4.8.2) Edited January 4, 2014 by gray (see edit history)
Paulito
Good morning I am a little confused, your site is not 1.5.6.1 Anyway, to turn off cache: PS 1.4 Back office > Preferences > Performance PS 1.5 Back office > Advances parameters > Perfofmance Paul
El Patron
you are missing some directives that might help speed up your shop please make sure the following is enabled from your back office http://screencast.com/t/2qMywuui5
NemoPS
I'm with paulito, that's not 1.5.6.1, unless you upgraded the default theme from 1.4 (in this case, congratulations for your patience ) You can do what elpatron suggested from tools->genetators and checking optimization, then hit generate htaccess

gray
Thanks Paulito - I found Force compile and Cache to be 'ON' Both now turned off, and site takes 2 secs to load. Funny thing is I have never changed those settings?? Life is full of mysteries.

Dh42
You are generating more SQL request than your server can handle. You have a lot of categories with a lot of information on the category pages. Are all pages slow?
