How do I change blocklayered dropdown for a feature to display products in all sub-categories?

Recommended Posts

Hi - on the blocklayered navigation bar, when I choose an option from a 'Feature' dropdown, I want to display all products that match that choice regardless of which subcategory it is in under the main catagory.

This works fine if I am viewing the main category page but when I am in a sub category it only displays the products that match in that sub-category.

Hope this makes sense.

Still need an answer to this if anyone can help. Let's try rephrasing the question:

Re: blocklayered module

I have the following Categories in Prestashop.

Category A

 - Sub Category AA
 - Sub Category AB

Category A is a child of Home category.

I have a 'Feature' set-up on the products named 'Type'

If I am viewing the Category 'A' page,  the Blocklayered Feature drop-down shows the 'Types' for products in category 'A', 'AA' and 'AB'

If I am viewing the Category 'AA' page,  the Blocklayered Feature drop-down shows the 'Types' for products in category 'AA' only

What do I need to change so that when I am viewing the Category 'AA' page,  the Blocklayered Feature drop-down shows the 'Types' for products in category 'A', 'AA' and 'AB'?

Hi skinny, that's just the way the layered navigation module works, I'm afraid - from current layer down.

Otherwise they'd have to call it a non-layered navigation module.  ^_^

I guess it might be possible to remove all the layering logic from the module, but you'd need someone smarter than me to advise on that - may not be straightforward.

Cheers, Dave
