June
Hi: I have presta up and running and since 30 Sept. I have been unable to access my back shop as well. I am unable to add or delete products now. Some of my information has been deleted such as tags and email contacts have been changed to my personal ones. It could be a glitch in the new downloads I am thinking. My computer also tells me that "this employee does not exist.".
June
My web site has been hacked. Information in junesshop.com has been either deleted or changed. Email contacts have been changed to show my personal email addresses instead of business. I can not log in to my back office with message that employee does not exist. There seems to be no way to right the problem myself as Presta has to intervene. Business is business and there is no place for pety conflicts. Am I to assume that I should go to another web building site next time so that I can get professional help from the main office. Federal Police have been notified of the hacking. I see the web work fine. What is the problem? The problem not is the plataform, is the security of your admin pass, folder and install folder (you need to remove them)
TropischBruin
If you host on a shared server with 1001 other sites and one of those others has an security issue then the door is always open.
June
Thanks guys for your reply. I am of the opinion that I know who is to blame and I am not blaming Presta for the hacking but they are responsible to fix a problem if it has occurred and reported. As this is a serious offence in Australia and can carry a heavy jail sentence, and I have already had a phone call from the ACCC who are the corporate watch dog in Aust., it should be fixed immediately. It looks to me that the hacker is still in the back office from my own investigations which show entrance on 30 Sept. and errors and failures since then. Hostmaster whom I got my domain name through have been of tremendous help to me so far but Presta is out of their area.
