cogeanumarius
hi to all, - I have one PS1561 instance running just fine on domain 1 with dedicated IP on plesk 11.5 - I have assigned a dedicated IP for the second domain. - I have added a new domain allias to the first domain - On the running webshop I have set-up the multistore acording to the PS doc link Issue: when I access the second domain i am automatically redirected to the first one.. I think the problem is in the re-direct config, I am interested in how to manually create the redirect, what to write in .htaccess file on the second domain so I will be correctly forwarded to the first domain. Thank you all dear community. Please have a happy new year !
El Patron
you did correctly for plesk, i.e. alias clear your browse cache and cookies and revisit the 2nd domain, if it still redirects my feeling is your multishop config is incorrect
cogeanumarius
I think it will be easier to simply link 2 pictures that will explain what I have done citeste.eu is allias for main domain anticariatalbert.com http://anticariatalb.../plesk_11.5.jpg I have done all the multistore settings on anticariatalbert.com back office http://www.anticaria...back_office.jpg please let me know what other print screen I should add to be able to identify what have I done wrong
El Patron
could you post the 'edit' screen from you 2nd domain? http://screencast.com/t/Po8gjgSa3YG
El Patron
also I've done some 'searches' and I am not convinced you can have a different IP from the main domain you alias to.

cogeanumarius
also I've done some 'searches' and I am not convinced you can have a different IP from the main domain you alias to. I have actually the same IP in the nameserver settings, here are the print screens: http://www.anticariatalbert.com/ip_anticariat.jpg http://www.anticariatalbert.com/ip_citeste.jpg
El Patron
lets try this, as I don't really see any issue with your config put the domain name also in the domain ssl http://screencast.com/t/nuTrR3BnHNh
cogeanumarius
lets try this, as I don't really see any issue with your config put the domain name also in the domain ssl http://screencast.com/t/nuTrR3BnHNh I have now the same address into the "Domain SSL" field as in the "Domain" field. looks like it is still not working any other idea? I am still insisting that the PS team would provide us with a redirect that could be done on the second domain... thank you for all your time
bellini13
if I ping both domains I get the same IP Address. What is the purpose of having a dedicated IP Address for the second domain, if you are redirecting it to the first one?
cogeanumarius
if I ping both domains I get the same IP Address. What is the purpose of having a dedicated IP Address for the second domain, if you are redirecting it to the first one? salve, I have actually used the advice from El Patron and I have now the same IP address on both domains. I could not manage to properly redirect and now I have a copy of the site with a different theme... I will try again if I will ever receive from presta the right redirect that needs to be done from the second domain, there is nothing in the presta documentation about it, and I am actually planing to move the websites on a server without cpanel/plesk Thank you in advance
El Patron
PrestaShop would not be able to 'redirect', this should all be done prior to accessing the site files. I run an older version of plesk and use alias (ok, so it's 1.4 and my own multishop module) but the principal is the same. Granted PS will read the inbound http host and matches to the correct shop. This is hard to debug via the forum, heck it's hard sometimes to debug when you have your hands on the actually hosting account. Here is a module I wrote to display the http server host in the front office. Note: it only displays the http host to the browser who's ip address is defined in the module config. Install normally from the back office, set your browser's ip address, then visit your front office. It will display something like this: http://screencast.com/t/rvviQD4vqF9G etiendashttp.zip
bellini13
you just need to point both domains to the same exact doc root. http://kb.parallels.com/en/115818
