musicmaster
I am trying to set up some application for the layered navigation block. So I am experimenting a bit - creating and changing filters. Now in a rather short time I have already twice seen that a filter suddenly had disappeared - leaving me no other option than to recreate it. Does anyone know why this happens. Is there a bug fix for this?
NemoPS
What do you mean it disappears? It vanishes from the configuration? Is there something in common among these disappearing filters? Are they features, or attributes? Or something else?
musicmaster
It disappears: it is no longer listed in the backoffice. I am still looking for related things. For the moment I can't reproduce it. I hoped someone might recognize the problem.
musicmaster
I can reproduce the problem now. It happens when I click on the modify button (the pencil) behind the name of the filter template. Then I add a filter. It doesn't matter which. Then I save the filter template. Now I get the following error message at the top of my page: "Notice: Undefined index: categoryBox in C:\xampp\htdocs\_snoepje\modules\blocklayered\blocklayered.php on line 1361" And the filter has disappeared. One suspect is the list of categories for which the filter applies. When I click the modify button I see the text "0 selected". That is not right - I had one selected. When I click to see the category list it is still there and when I then go back to the page the text is changed to "1 selected" - even when I didn't save the popup window. The problem seems only to happen when the Home category is not selected. I am using 1.5.6.1 Edited December 28, 2013 by musicmaster (see edit history)
meditation
same problem here ,any suggestions?
musicmaster
The problem happens because you save a filter with no connected categories. A filter cannot exist without connected categories and so it is deleted. The error is of course that the filter somehow not remembers its categories. I thought I made a bug report about it but I can't find it back. So I suggest you make another one if you still encounter the problem in 1.5.6.2.
