Add to Cart button not appearing on virtual product

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm new to Prestashop, and so far, frankly, I'm not liking it at all. Anyway, I added a new product which is a virtual one but in the store it does not have a Add to Cart button or a Download button or a Purchase button or... something.

The only way I can get a button for this item is if I treat it as a physical item, even though it has an associated file for download.

What can I do because digital downloads are the core of my [coming soon-] store?

Cheers

Of course I have quantity, I started with 10 and then I set it to 10,000 and nothing happened, no Add to Cart button.

As for the reasons I'm not liking it, well there are several: translation to Spanish is not good, I'm using Sellya template and it only works fine in Firefox, the store takes forever to load, the changes don't show immediately, I have to reload it several times to see them just like when a page's elements are cached and so on.

Kind regards.

I'm having the same problem, no Add to Cart button on virtual products, is there an answer to this problem?

uhm...I will have to ask some very basic questions as virtual products most often work without issue.

1. do you have virtual file attached to product?

2. do you have stock of virtual products?  If shop total virtual then I suggest just turning off stock management.

3. are you using default  theme?  (if not possible to try default theme (make sure to back up complete shop first in case you need to restore reverting to custom theme).

Hi to answer your points

1. Yes I have a file added to the product

2. Yes I have added a stock limit. The store will be holding both virtual and real products although I have tried for testing what you suggested of turning of stock limits and it did not help.

3. I am using the default theme. All I have done is download and install prestashop then I added a virtual product.

Anything else I should try

Hello All

Has anyone found a solution yet?
I also have the same problem, as you can see in the example:
http://217.199.187.71/moonstrucktemp.com/index.php?id_product=11&controller=product&id_lang=1

The strange thing is that the product can be added to the cart when you are in the category view, but not when you are in the specific product view.

I have tried edditing everything in the BO for the virtual products, but without any result...

Hi guys, i am using prestashop 1.6.05

I am having difficulty with uploading the virtual products...

I can't seem to add a file to the product. Once I have selected the file, and after the file uploads to prestashop, it doesn't seem to save it to the product.

when it has finished uploading and i save the product, when i go back to edit or view the product, there is no file allocated to the product. Also when trying to purchase this product, there is no downloadable file.

Can you please help with this.
