How to change the started level for the category module (left column) ?

I would like to modify the CATEGORY MODULE on v1.5.4.1

I want to start to show the category from the level 1 and not the level 0

Is it possible to do it ?

Here is an example :

 

I want to show only the subcategorie from level 1.

So when i am on the home page, i dont see any categorie

When i am at the level 1 of a category, i see only his subcategory and not other sub from other categories at level 1

 

- apple (level 0)

     iphone (level 1)

        iphone 3 (level 2)

        iphone 3s

        iphone 4

        iphone 4s

    ipad

        ipad 1

        ipad 2

    imac

        imac 1

        imax 2

 

- samsung

    galaxy

        galaxy 1

        galaxy 2

    note

        note 1

        note 2

        note 3

 

- nokia

    lumia

        lumia 1

        lumia 2

    futia

        futia 1

        futia 2

        futia 3

 

 

 

So, when i am on level 1, IPHONE, i will see on the left column :

 

     iphone (level 1)

        iphone 3 (level 2)

        iphone 3s

        iphone 4

        iphone 4s

 

So, when i am on level 1, LUMIA, i will see on the left column :

 

    lumia

        lumia 1

        lumia 2

 

Thats all, no more caterogies

Is it possible to do it ?

Yes but when you are on a page product, which belongs to, for example :

 

  iphone 4s

 

 

It  will still display all the full block column with the categories, right ?

 

 

I have tested the module with the DEMO.

It is not the module im looking for.

I want to display only the subcat of the current cat, no more
