Dolke
Hi to all, I have difficulties with my website hosting for over few months now. Website is hosted on a shared SSD server with A2hosting, located on their Iceland DC.Although my website was preforming well prior the huge outage and data loss that A2 had on that same server in November now I cannot restore the same performance and I was told that I should go with upgrading my plan to a VPS.But there are other sources telling me totally opposite, that my website must work properly on a shared server based on the numbers and stats I have currently and based on the limit that are currently configured on my A2hosting account. Gap between VPS and shared service is quite big and that is 2nd reasons why I still have doubts of upgrading.3rd reason is that I have my website hosted on HostGator VPS (level 5) and that was few months ago when my website didn't have half of current visitor and page view number that it has today and I received even worse performance then I have now on shared SSD server.4th reason would be that I found website with roughly same amount of visitors and pageviews (based on Alexa.com) that were loading very fast and on which search queries took 2-3 seconds to display the results and that is really confuses me because I contacted some of those Prestashop website owners and they gave me their hosting limits and mine seemed be even higher. So I become suspicious about my account as a whole. I was wondering if some other older scripts and other junk from the past (as this account is quite old and it was migrated from one hosting provider to another) and there are lot of remains of old scripts, some junk files from the past, some unused remains of DB and all kind of extra stuff.I was wondering if those remains and junk files can be the reason of high resource usage that spikes few times a day and cause my website and account slower and less reliable? Is there a way to backup only PS and lets say email files and transfer them on to clean new account and do a some sort of cleaning up?Thank you all in advance.Dean
