Dh42
You have more categories than that, count sub categories as well. Having as many categories and products you are more than likely going to need a solid vps host. It takes time to query a database when you have that many products. kellerkelly
About 150 sub i thought that shared hosting would be able to handle that but even on a shared sever it shouldn't take over a 60 secounds to load one page when the others are okay. Dh42
It totally depends on what is on the page and how many queries and how many rows are browsed. I think your best bet with a shop that size is to use a vps account. I cannot think or any e-commerce package that will handle that many products or categories on a shared account. shailendra
I would like to suggest you to firstly optimize your site by enabling compression and combining css, html and js files by going to Advanced Parameters > Performance for optimization issues you can refer to this url http://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.bashment-prices.co.uk/takNktzg Edited December 23, 2013 by shailendra (see edit history)
