Hi ladies and gents

 

This has probably been covered 1000 times, but as I am very impatcient to search through 100's of posts I created another so I am very sorry if it is repetative.

 

I recently installed Presta shop onto my server space, it's the first time i have used Prestashop.

 

My issue is how do I get my domain to show up the actual shop stright away.

 

My domain is www.devicedr.co.uk but it seems to take me to:

Index of /

• cgi-bin/
• presta/

Apache/2.2.26 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.26 OpenSSL/1.0.1e-fips mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at www.devicedr.co.uk Port 80

How do I get it to take me or a potential customer straight to my shop :/

if you installed prestashop in folder presta of your main root

 

then in back office-->preferences-->seo & url's-->find base uri-->input-->presta-->save

I really have not got a clue what this means :/ I am really sorry, can you shed any light on where I can find any of this I ouldnt even know where to start as I am new to this.

ok, so i logged in to my control panel I assume I have changed the bottom bit correctly, ?

 

Any idea if I have done this correctly ?

Umm still does not work :/ if i type my URL in my web browser www.devicedr.co.uk it brings up the exact same page as before.
