PayPal payment method missing from checkout page upon currency restriction

Hello,

I am using Prestashop 1.5.6.1 with PayPal 3.6.1 payment module.

I have three active currency USD, EUR and BGN.

BGN is my default currency and is not supported by PayPal.

 

I have set PayPal restriction to USD in order to don't get the error message 'currency is not supported'. 

I found that the PayPal checkout option 'PAY WITH YOUR CARD OR YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT' is missing as a payment method from my 5-th step/page on the final checkout page.

In fact when different than the restricted currency (USD) is selected the PayPal payment method is not shown on checkout page.

 

Is there a way to make PayPal payment method aways to be available on the checkout page and simply to make conversion from shop default currency (BGN) to the PayPal restricted currency (USD), as it does with 'Express checkout'?

It's not possible, there must be solution, a simple one.

As for the currency issue you mentioned, please kindly note that the currency of BGN is not supported by PayPal.

In addition, I am sorry that there is no method for PayPal to automatically covert the currency from not supported to the supported at this moment.

I totally understand that this will bring you much inconvenience. But PayPal is constantly working to improve our product and services for our customers, and we will continue to expand our service in the future, but due to the complexities of global finance we cannot give a timetable for this possible expansion. So, please continue to watch our website for future changes and updates to our service.

 

On PayPal checkout the default shop currency must be redirected to PayPal supported currency, the way that "express checkout does it".

Express checkout automatically uses the PayPal restricted currency, but the normal PayPal checkout can't.

It is simple as that, upon checkout PayPal API must selects it's restricted currency or currency that is supported.

Come on guys, I don't want to dig in the code, give us the solution.

I found a solution, I have installed the Paypal module version 3.4.5 and all works now.
