Set a develop (test) subdomain to the store

Hi, i have some problems with the configuration..

 

first, i what to create a develop subdomain to see how will be look the site before update it to production.

 

 

i add a subdomain called test and copy the data base..

 

i link this to the new database called test_db and in the back office i change the domain to test.mystore.com but i have problems, because now the test site show me the error of don't found the page 404.

 

Could you said me what other changes i need to do?. thanks.

Have you tried deleting your htaccess file? the one for the prestashop installation you just copied.

Also, remember to change settings.inc.php as well with the new database credentials

Yes i delete the htaccess file and i change the settings.inc.php to connect at the new database.. 

 

And the site show that..

Have you tried using mystore.com/test as the domain this is how my test domain looks.

 

BO SEO & URL

 

Shop domain: mystore.com

SSL domain:  mystore.com

Base URI:      /test/

 

So if you created a sub folder in the root of your domain and installed Prestashop there this would most likely be the URL to that domain.

You will also need to change the ps_shop_url in the database and the settings.inc.php to point to this domain. /test/

I have problem with the languages.. 

 

because if i go to the root test.mydomain.com it show the site, but if i try to change to any language in this moment appear the error.
