changing the style of menu bar

Hi

 

I am facing few problems

 

1) How do I change the menu bar to the below given style from drop down menu bar.

 

2) I updated the home page slider with my presteu  and facing the overlap of image on the down side in 3rd and 4th slide and displaying on all the category and product page, I want it on the home page only 

 

3) The category page description and the image is not aligned, how do i align it.

     You can view by going to category> Home and decor> rugs or any other category page.
