nataschakater
Hello, I have a nice barcode generator module which generates a barcode out of the invoice number and also publishes the barcode on the invoice. Now the problem. In the settings of the invoices you can choose the Invoice Prefix. My Invoice Prefix is ET201. The 201 is because of the needed length of the barcode. When I scan the barcode it does not recognize the letters ET. It does scan the number including 201. Does someone know this is possible? Thanks! tuk66
Some barcodes can work with letters and some don't. If your barcode is, for example, EAN 13 than only numbers are valid.
nataschakater
Thanks for your reply. But the last two letters 'CW' are being scanned so it does work with letters too.
tuk66
Can you share an example of the barcode?
nataschakater
The one on the left is the output of Prestashop and is not scanning right. It scans 201000054CW.The one on the right is a barcode generated on a website with the same barcode number, which is scanning right. Prescol
The barcodes are totally different so maybe the module is ignoring the first characters or not adding the prefix.
nataschakater
It's not ignoring it completely. When I add RTTD as prefix, it scans TD. I contacted the developer of the module and he is now changing the module to my needs. The module only supports code128 barcodes and I need 128-B. Prescol
Ok, i´m glad you solved it. Now, please, edit the title of the Topic (edit->advanced editor) and add the text [sOLVED] so anyone will know. Thanks!
