FluffyCat
Hi Everyone I am looking at webmaster toos and I have a lot of duplicate warnings. It seems as inside of the categories, also pages generated by filters are parsed by google. Something like these links: en/70-father-s-day/fabricante-scottish_fine_soaps?selected_filters=fabricante-scottish_fine_soaps?selected_filters=fabricante-scottish_fine_soaps /en/70-father-s-day/manufacturer-propaganda /en/fathers-day-gifts Here we see that I have a category named "fathers-day-gifts" but there are two other links as well to manufacturers inside this category. If I expand the /en/70-father-s-day/manufacturer-propaganda in the browser I see this link: .../en/fathers-day-gifts?selected_filters=manufacturer-propaganda I have tried to regenerate the robots.txt and I do not see any reference to the ?selected_filters parameter. It seems as this kind of page should not be indexed right? Or what is the proper solution to this particular problem? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Dh42
I haven't used any of the canonical url modules, but you might benefit from having one, they fix issues like this.
FluffyCat
Thanks for the reply. Is there no way to clean out these old links? Are they still in my prestashop or just in the head of google?
rob84
try inserting in robots.txt: /*selected_filters= /en/*selected_filters=
