devtechme
If you want your shop to be in a sub-folder of your domain name (http://www.mywebsite.com/shop), you must first create said folder through FileZilla (right-click and choose "Create directory"), then upload PrestaShop in that folder. From http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Installing+PrestaShop?utm_source=html_installer i'm going to try this, i hope this will be help full. i will upload one more time the "prestashop" folder. NemoPS
Yes, it's as simple as that, you only need to place the file inside a subfolder. Just be sure you don't have something, in your root folder, who uses htaccess rules and interferes with that url!

The problem wasn't only this... i've been trying too much time... and today this morning, the installation has gone finlally fine. My host is tophost... and at the beginning i had too much problems to install prestashop in my own language (ITA) at the last point of the instalation the error that came out were "that ther's an error (after the database settings)..." I don't know why but now i'ts all ok... Mistery Otherwise i think that copying and deleting the folder prestashop for too many time caused some error (i used filezilla), theese errors due to the latency of the host...
