Mail Alert Module - Possible solution for you.

Hi all. In case some of you had a problem with the Mail Alert module V2.5 not working...

I am using PS 1.5.4.1 and recently upgraded my Mail Alert up to 2.5 when I found it had failed (due to my failure to backup before upgrading PS)

 

Anyway, I fixed the problem when I found the module was missing many files in the base level of PS. All the files were correct in the myshop/themes/default/modules/mailerts folder, so all I had to do was copy the files in C-Panel from my themes folder to myshop/modules/mailalerts .

 

Tested and working great! It may work for you - it may not, but at least I can help somebody

i've got question. you upgraded from 1.5.4.1 to latest version? (1.5.6.1?)

Hi Vekia.

 

I upgraded from 1.5.4.1 to 1.5.6.0 using the latest 1-Click_Upgrade module and found that some bits hadn't worked well, so I rolled back to 1.5.4.1 and am still there for the moment. The annoying issue was that I didn't create my own backup. Somewhere between upgrading and rolling back, pictures disappeared from all my products in the back office (except the first 16 products), stopping the combinations images from being selected in the shop & mail alerts stopped working. I had to find the latest version of Mailalerts (from you in another post?) and then perform the action above.

 

To get the pictures back, I had to duplicate each product and upload all the images again, plus add in all the missing Associations,   Features and Tags which did not copy over. As I said - annoying - but at least it's done. I'm finishing off a bunch of translations in 4 languages and once that's done I'll try upgrading to 1.5.6.1 with the Leo Dress Store theme being upgraded at the same time (at the moment the product images Thick Box doesn't work).

 

For readers of this post - ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR SHOP INDEPENDANTLY BEFORE UPGRADING. I'm going to back up once a week from now on and always before any major change.

 

Anyway, things must be working as I'm getting sales and the customers are getting notified and so am I.

boss I could not upgrade my shop from 1.56 to 1.6 repeatedly some error is coming and some functions are not working after broken the upgrade process from one click upgrade. kindly give me the right solution.
