jirislav
I've imported new list of products with the same images & URL's like on the products which have been there before but it seems like all the images have been deleted ! How is that possible? What can I do? EDIT: There is over 500 products and each one had about 20 color variants. Don't tell me I have to upload 10,000 images, please don't ! Bill Dalton
You could try Preferences > Images scroll down and click Regenerate thumbnails. This may take awhile if you have lots of images.

Bill Dalton
Do you know how to change the folder permissions? If 766 doesn't work, you can try 777.

Bill Dalton
Sorry jirislav, I didn't read the error message close enough. It is not having a problem writing, the problem is it can't find the images in your sedacivaky.eu/img directory. Did you check to see if the images are there? ibndawood
Hi, As long as your images are there in the server you shouldn't be worried about uploading the product images again. Are u sure all the images are there in img folder ?

Are u sure all the images are there in img folder ? And where do you think they are? I've been in all folders my FTP can go through, nowhere I've found these. You know I don't understand one thing, why does so much smart Prestashop erase all the Images without asking? Am I the first one who happend this? Our e-shop is the only best way to pay depts & now it's completely destroyed. Over 5 years developmnet in a sh*t. ..
ibndawood
Hi, I don't think import will cause the images to be destroyed. There are no images in img folder ? Sometimes while regenerating images it breaks. We can regenerate it again to get the images again.

In folder /img/p/ was over 20,000 images which there are not anymore. I've been already trying to regenerate the images .. no result.

Bill Dalton
If it is Yes Prestashop looks for images here /img/p/ If it is no, than PrestaShop will use a different system that divides products to individual directories.

Bill Dalton
Back Office, or BO for short is what we call the administration area for Prestashop. We call the administration area "BO" and we call the public side where your products are shown the "Front office", or FO.

But my hosting service does FTP backup once a week, so I got images back. Now I'm uploading them. Anyway, I'd like to know, why does Import delete images?
Bill Dalton
If the import was replacing the images and you did not have the images that were listed in your import in the right place? There are many different scenarios and problems that can happen. As long as you have backups all is good. If you have enough backup space on your host you can make a directory and make a backup of your images so if something goes wrong you do not need to wait for your host.
